Grease Trap Installation
A new bakery tenancy in a commercial retail complex required a full shopfit, including the installation of a 1,000 litre grease trap in a physically constrained site, with a firm opening date. We took extra care to communicate clearly with a client who had limited English, and coordinated across council, engineers, consultants and other trades to deliver the project on time.

The Challenge
The available space for machinery and installation was tight, requiring precision planning around access and sequencing. Neighbouring shopkeepers also needed to be kept informed throughout to avoid disruption to their operations, and clear communication with everyone involved was key to keeping the project on track.
Our Approach
We arranged for a translator to be involved throughout the project and supplemented all communication with emails and text messages, creating a clear written record of every instruction, update and agreement. We liaised directly with the local council, engineering consultants and other trades to coordinate approvals and staging around the client's target opening date. Neighbouring businesses in the complex were engaged early and kept informed so they could plan around our works without disruption to their operations.
The Solution
The grease trap was installed successfully within the constrained site. Council approvals were secured on time, all trades were coordinated to the required programme and the bakery opened on its target date. The extra care taken with communication and stakeholder management ensured no disruption to surrounding businesses and gave the client, entering a new commercial environment, a completed, compliant tenancy delivered exactly when they needed it.
