A new residential build on a steep block in Canungra presented one of the more logistically demanding site conditions Blueline Plumbing Services has worked in. Getting materials, labour and machinery on site safely while coordinating with multiple trades required a level of planning and communication that went well beyond a standard housing project. The outcome was a successfully completed build and a set of working relationships that generated ongoing referrals.

The Challenge
The steep terrain at the Canungra site created genuine logistical difficulty from day one. Access for machinery and materials was constrained, sequencing with other trades was critical and any breakdown in communication had the potential to cause costly delays across the entire build. With multiple parties involved, including subcontractors, suppliers, site management and the developer, keeping everyone aligned was as important as the physical works themselves.
Our Approach
We led with thorough planning and staged the works to sequence efficiently with all other trades on site. Every stakeholder was briefed in advance: subcontractors, suppliers, workers and site management all received clear, timely information about what was happening and when. Every verbal conversation was followed up in writing to confirm scope, timing and responsibilities. Nothing was left to assumption and no detail was treated as too small to communicate.
The Solution
The project was completed successfully to programme. The structured communication approach and careful staging of works eliminated the delays and rework that poorly coordinated sites typically generate, resulting in measurable cost savings across all trades involved. The relationships built through the project led to further work with the builder and direct referrals to other clients, the clearest possible indicator that the approach worked.
